Sancerre Blanc Chêne Marchand

Sancerre Blanc Chêne Marchand

The Chêne Marchand plot in the commune of Bué is one of the finest caillottes plots in the Sancerre region.  On this challenging southeast-facing terrain, the vine digs down deep to draw its nourishment, producing very low yields that give the Sauvignon its full intensity.

Tasting notes

The nose of this wine opens to notes of pear skin, then offers up aniseed-like notes ranging from fresh fennel to some more mentholy notes.  The palate is fresh yet shows gorgeous volume and a perfect amount of fat.  The finish is fine and long.
